Ae Forest:
Leave Dumfries going along the A701, about a couple of miles after Amisfield while your going down a hill there is a sign for Ae, take the left hand turn at the sign and follow that road for another couple of miles untill you get to the site for the Ae Forest. If you go past the first car park and buildings, you come to a junction, turn left and head you’ll know your on the right track as you have to go along a bit of straight track with a cattle grid and no trees either side, this leads to the very last overflow car park which has loads of bushes and plenty of parking spaces. Fun can be had here, both couples and gay action, although mostly couples.
Mabie Forest
Leaving Dumfries heading along the road for New Abbey, you should come to a long straight, at the end of the long straight there is a sign for Mabie forest, don’t confuse this with Mabie Farm Park, Mabie forest is a litter further along the road. Go up the big hill for mabie forest and when your almost at the top take the right hand turn and then the first left into the car park. Fun to be had there with couples and singles. Beware of the dog walkers and families during the day at summer.
